Slow Saturday, easing myself into the weekend
Pottering about the house, cleaning and organising
Practising my baking, and dispairing at my useless oven
Snuggling down under a fur blanket - Autumn is here
Sunny run in the Peak District (slight tumble = fat ankle)
Netheredge Market packed with treats

This weekend was a slow one for me, compared to last which was jam packed, this time around I cancelled my plans for me. I could feel the stress and anxiety building and instead of attempting to battle through decided to listen to my body for once. I tried to go with the flow, allow my mind to wander freely and not worry too much about what I'm 'supposed' to be doing or 'meant' to feel like. consequently, it was a weekend of admin, organising and a few treats here and there. I stopped worrying and allowed myself to be creative behind my camera for a work event on Friday evening and produced some images I am very proud of. Saturday started off with a 5 mile run in the pouring rain, and the running continued on Sunday into the sunny Peak District. Brownies and sofa snuggles rounding off my easy couple of days, and I feel suitably recharged for the week.

  1. Sometimes you just need one of those 'me' weekends don't you!
I sacked off plans to go to Manchester on Saturday night to stay home, cuddle Flash, and get stuff done round the house that's been bugging me for the longest time.
Hope you're feeling a bit more refreshed! x

    1. Absolutely! I don't know whether I'm getting old or what, but 'me' time is getting more and more important!
