February Tonic

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Well we missed January Tonic it would seem, as is January and this time of year!

February has been short but packed full of soul-searching, life plans and big questions. Whilst  I started the month with a stinking cold and flu bug, I battled on at the office after a round of redundancies. I took a flying trip down to visit my parents and pooch during the Superbowl weekend, and managed to recover slightly.

Pancake day greeted us with Lent and a couple of 'resolutions' of running everyday (#runeverydaylent) and the promise to myself to worry less about the what ifs and focus on the now. We attended a surprise birthday party, and I started regular yoga sessions thanks to a wonderful YouTube channel. Emma and I finished our new website, and launched another one

I decided to go back to school - more on that soon - and the regular yoga seemed to be helping me relax a great deal. With school comes homework, and a big delivery of books meant that most spare hours have been spent learning and revising.

A quick trip to the in-laws' in Liverpool last weekend rounded off a month of weekends with time to spend with each other, as next month my assessments and practical sessions begin 9-5 Sat & Sun. Ouch. We've been busy baking for Mother's day, and I got under the barbell again. Just typing this is hurting my currently crippled shoulders.

But March looks fun: Boy's Birthday and we have an Easter trip to the sun planned for some well deserved R&R. Now, someone said something about spring?
